What we do

Three services, one engineer accountable for the work.

01 · Traffic engineering

Traffic assessments that authorities can approve.

We assess how your development will affect the surrounding road network and recommend practical upgrades, written in the format the reviewing authority expects.

Traffic impact assessments (TIA)

For new developments, land-use applications and rezonings, including trip generation, distribution and future-year scenarios.

Traffic assessments for environmental applications

Traffic inputs to Basic Assessment Reports, EIAs and EMPr updates, including responses to I&AP comments.

Site traffic assessments (STA)

Internal and external traffic flow, parking, access position and spacing, sight distance and queuing, to support site development planning.

Intersection capacity analysis

Level of service and queue analysis for signalised, priority and roundabout junctions, with upgrade recommendations.

Swept path analysis

Checks for design vehicles from passenger cars to buses, fire engines and heavy mining trucks.

Travel plans and active travel

Workplace travel plans, pedestrian and cycling provision, and public transport integration.

Road safety audits (RSA)

Independent safety audits at every stage of design and after construction, covering alignment, sight distance, signage and markings.

Traffic accommodation plans

Temporary traffic management for construction on live roads.

02 · Road design

Road design from concept to tender.

Designs for new roads, upgrades and site infrastructure, with the drawings, specifications and contract documents needed to go to tender.

Geometric design

Local, district, provincial and national roads: alignment, cross-sections, intersections and accesses, including climbing and passing lanes.

Pavement design

Flexible and rigid pavements for urban, rural and industrial roads, using traffic loading and mechanistic design to national standards.

Road drainage design

Hydrological and hydraulic design of culverts, side drains and stormwater systems that protect the road and keep it resilient.

Geotechnical investigations

Site investigations, soil sampling and profiling, subgrade assessment and foundation recommendations for roads and structures.

Gravel road upgrades

Upgrading gravel roads to surfaced standard, with pedestrian facilities and public transport bays.

Tender and contract documents

Drawings, COTO specifications, Bills of Quantities and FIDIC-based contract documents.

Sectors we serve

Who we work for.

Development

Property development

Traffic and site assessments for residential, mixed-use and township developments.

Public roads

Municipal and provincial roads

Upgrades, new links and safety improvements for road authorities.

Corridors

National roads and strategic corridors

Capacity, geometric and pavement upgrades on national routes.

Industrial

Industrial and logistics parks

Heavy vehicle access, swept paths and pavements designed for freight loading.

Commercial

Commercial and retail

Access, parking and traffic impact for shopping centres and business premises.

03 · ECSA registration coaching

Get your ECSA application over the line.

One-to-one online coaching on your Training and Experience Report and Engineering Reports, for Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng and Pr Techni Eng candidates across engineering disciplines. Sessions run in the evenings and at weekends.

Quick Call

R450 / 45 min

A focused question-and-answer call. Bring everything you're unsure about: the process, the forms, what the reviewers look for, or where you're stuck.

Guidance only. Report reviews are booked separately.

Outcome Mapping Session

R2,200 / 2 hours

We go through your real projects and map them to the ECSA outcomes, so you know exactly what to write in each Engineering Report before you start drafting.

Outcomes 1 to 3: problem analysis, design and applied knowledgeR2,200
Outcomes 4 to 11: management, communication, impacts, ethics and judgementR2,200
Invoice issued and paid before the session.

Engineering Report Review

R1,100 / hour

A detailed review of your drafted Engineering Reports with written feedback on what works, what's missing and how to show your own competence more clearly.

  • Reduced rate if you've done an Outcome Mapping Session
  • Time estimate agreed before work starts
Send your draft to receive an intake form.

TER Review

R1,100 / hour

Your Training and Experience Report should show how your responsibility grew over time. We'll flag gaps and unclear periods and help you present your experience against ECSA's requirements.

  • Covers Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng and Pr Techni Eng TERs
  • Time estimate agreed before work starts
Send your draft to receive an intake form.

Prices are per individual applicant. Company and team rates are available on request.

If cost is a barrier, get in touch. Sessions can be adjusted to fit your budget.
